Two lamps are placed above and below an angled white plane. Where the planes meet forms a “horizon”).

Light from the upper lamp falls only on to the upper part of the angled plane.

Similarly, the lower plane is illuminated only by the lower lamp.

The lamps change colour slowly through the spectrum, with a timing differential between upper and lower lamp cycles.
